Human Resources and Administration

The Human Resources and Administration Department manages the affairs of human resources to maximize employee performance to achieve the Authority’s strategic objectives. The department primarily undertakes activities in designing human resource policies and procedures, recruitment and selection, remuneration, performance management, training, development and employee relations.

The WARMA Organization Structure

In order to effectively deliver on the functions of the WARMA outlined in the WRM Act, a startup organizational structure was developed comprising Head Quarters, Catchment and Sub Catchments and was approved by the WARMA Board. The Head Quarters of WARMA is located in Lusaka.

The day-to-day operations of WARMA are managed by Management that is supervised by a Board of Directors. The Authority is headed by the Director General who is the Chief Executive Officer and has a line management of four directorates, namely:

  • Directorate of Water Resources Management and Information;
  • Authority Secretary Services;
  • Directorate of Finance; and
  • Directorate of Human Resources and Administration.
